Two Girls Don Police Uniforms in Akadyr Event
On Thursday, April 2, the Akadyr Security Directorate hosted a symbolic reception for two girls, Wiam and Sara, aged 10 and 13, who expressed a desire to pursue a career in policing and to join the national security services in the future. The event was chaired by the Governor of Akadyr Security, with participation from uniformed security personnel and the girls’ parents. During the ceremony, the two visitors were presented with official police uniforms complete with all accessories, in both winter and summer variants. They were also given the opportunity to tour several facilities within the security directorate and to accompany police officers on a guided visit, ending with a series of commemorative photographs alongside a number of male and female officers.
Context and aims
The visit in Akadyr follows a broader set of initiatives by the General Directorate for National Security across a number of Moroccan cities. These efforts aim to embed the concept of citizen policing within security work and to fulfill the wishes of young children, allowing them to experience moments in which they wear real police attire and imagine the police profession of the future.

In parallel with the activities, officials described the outing as part of a national program designed to promote engagement between security services and the public, particularly the younger generation. The objective is to nurture an early connection to law enforcement through immersive experiences, while showcasing the day-to-day environment of police work to inspire tomorrow’s security personnel. The organizers stressed that such gestures are intended to reinforce trust and familiarity between the police and communities, and to illustrate tangible aspirations for children interested in public safety careers.
